Trail Running Breaks at Fellpack
Best from our Fellpack Keswick base (but also doable from Fellpack Skiddaw), this break takes in a fantastic day’s running – 25km spent up above Derwentwater and into the Borrowdale valley before looping back to Keswick via iconic Catbells.

Day 1: Arrive and check in from 3pm.
Come ahead of time and stroll round Keswick to get the lie of the land, or pop to the lakeshore at Friar’s Crag to take in the view of your next day’s route. We’d suggest dinner at Eight Pizza – final bit of carb-loading! – before an early night.
Day 2: A big day above Derwentwater – 25km trail run
The route takes you up above Keswick and into Borrowdale with plenty of optional extras and tweaks for different experience and fitness levels. Return via Catbells terrace or, if you still have the energy, over the summit itself.
Finish at the Swinside pub, in the beautiful Newlands valley – it has a great beer garden for sunny days, or you can hunker down in wilder weather. We can arrange transport back to Keswick.
We’d recommend dinner at The Round, the perfect place to toast your day at the heart of trail and fell running.
Day 3: Revive tired muscles at Underscar Spa
After breakfast, check out and head five minutes outside of Keswick to Underscar Spa. Spend some time in the warmth and feel revived before heading home or on to your next adventure.
