Sustainability
We live and work in one of the most beautiful corners of the country, and we want it to stay that way. We're not going to pretend we've got everything right. This is what we actually do now, and what we're working on next.
What we do now
In our kitchens, we buy from an array of Cumbria-based suppliers wherever we can, and our menus change with the seasons to try and keep ingredients local. We've also put in chargers for electric cars, so you can drive here without worrying about getting home.
What's next
Over the next year we're working on trying to increase our renewable energy supply at our hotels. At Fellpack Skiddaw, the water is already taken directly from the fell and we are investigating how much solar power can cover our energy supply. We'll update this page as we go, so you can see what's changed.
