Welcome
The Darkroom is situated at the top of George Fisher. It blends the dual heritage of the recent Abraham’s Tea Room with the building’s original use, a photography shop, opened by George Abraham in 1887.
The space is warm and relaxed. Excellent locally-roasted coffee, great home-made cakes and hearty hot bowls accompanied by carefully curated playlists provide a lovely little hideaway from the bustle of Keswick’s town centre. We have a range of beers and wines too, so if you’re celebrating an adventure or a purchase made in George Fisher, then we have you covered.
Local photography, pottery and art can be purchased from the site as well. Things that we enjoy to look at, both in the site and on our walls or in our kitchens at home.
