Cumbrian-inspired prints by Robert Finch now available at The Darkroom

The Darkroom, situated at the top of George Fisher, is a tranquil place to escape above the busy streets of Keswick. It’s somewhere you can while away time enjoying a locally-roasted coffee and browsing some beautiful hand-picked art in our small-but-perfectly-formed gallery, and we’ve recently added a selection of prints by Kendal-based printmaker Robert Finch to the collection available to buy on site.

Robert started printing in 2016 after retiring as an architect and relocating to Kendal. He attended the local Brewery Arts Centre and tried his hand at printing, specifically lino cuts which allowed him to combine his illustrative style with the enjoyment of the physical technique. His work is inspired by the Cumbrian landscape and with limited print runs, he often only produces 2-5 editions of each design.

A great option to remind you of your time in the Lake District, we hope you’ll love these prints as much as we do.
